Some Brands I've Done Work For
Jenn Raj is an operator. She has built businesses from scratch, run supply chains across four continents, and spent the better part of her career in the places where most things are actually made.
She grew up between China and the UK, spent nearly a decade building businesses on the ground in Beijing, and has been running operations across global supply chains ever since. She started her career at Accenture, founded and grew Mering Global, a manufacturing agency, until it was merged into a larger portfolio, and built Arvam, a production management studio, from scratch. Along the way she also co-founded a bar and China's first craft beer import business. Operations is operations, regardless of what you are making or selling.
Today she works with product and creative businesses as a fractional operations and supply chain leader, embedding inside teams that need senior ops capability without a full-time hire. She has managed dozens of suppliers globally, overseen hundreds of SKUs, and delivered projects for independent labels, scaling brands, and Fortune 500 companies.
She is native in English, professionally fluent in Mandarin, and has spent the better part of her career in the places where most things are actually made. That perspective is something she brings to every engagement.
Jenn is remote-first and works with companies globally.

FAQ
What is fractional work?
Fractional means you bring in a senior operator on a retainer, rather than hiring them full-time. You get the same level of experience and ownership as a permanent hire, just at the capacity your business actually needs right now. Most fractional engagements run for a minimum of three months, with the scope agreed upfront.
Why fractional - why not just hire someone full time?
Sometimes the timing is not right. Sometimes the problem is urgent and a six-month recruitment process is not an option. Sometimes the demand is seasonal and a permanent salary does not make sense. The reasons vary, but the gap is the same: you need ops capability and a full-time hire is not the answer right now. A fractional engagement gives you the experience and accountability of a senior hire at the capacity you actually need, when you actually need it. No recruitment process, no notice period, no long-term commitment until you are ready for one. I step in with real ownership, work inside your team, and leave things in better shape than I found them. That is the whole point.
What does a typical engagement look like?
Most engagements start with a short conversation to understand what you need and whether there's a fit. From there we agree on scope, days per week, and a minimum term - usually three months for ongoing work. I work remotely but operate across time zones, so day-to-day communication is straightforward whether you're in Australia, the US, or Europe.
How quickly can you start?
For most engagements, within two to three weeks. If something is urgent - a launch deadline, a gap that needs covering now - get in touch and we can talk through options.
Do you work with companies outside Australia?
Yes. A significant part of my work is with US and European brands. I'm mostly based in Australia and work remotely, which means geography isn't a barrier. If you're in a different time zone we'll agree on a communication rhythm that works for both sides.
What's the difference between working with you directly and engaging Ārvam?
Ārvam is focused on production management for brands - launching and managing the end-to-end production process for specific projects or on an ongoing basis. When a company needs something broader - an embedded operations or supply chain lead, interim coverage, or strategic advisory - that's where I work directly as a fractional operator. Different scope, different engagement model. If you're not sure which fits, just reach out and we'll figure it out together.
What kinds of companies do you work with?
Primarily businesses that make, move, or produce something - consumer goods, food and beverage, health and wellness, fashion, homewares, and lifestyle brands are my core. I'd also love to branch out into the music and film & tv space. But the skills transfer further than that. I have worked across hospitality, having co-founded and run a bar and restaurant and a craft beer import business in China, and I work with creative businesses where operations are the difference between a good idea and something that actually gets delivered. I have worked with independent labels, scaling brands, and Fortune 500 companies.
How do you work?
Usually we start with a conversation. You reach out, we get on a call, and I ask enough questions to understand what is actually going on in the business and what you need. From there I put together a proposal with a clear scope, timeline, and fee. If it makes sense for both sides, we get started. Most engagements are up and running within a week or two of that first call.
Do you work with early stage businesses?
Yes. Some of my best work has been with early stage founders who are building their operations from scratch and need someone who has done it before. The engagement model is flexible enough to work at that stage, and getting the foundations right early saves a lot of pain later.
